FUNDRAISING TOOLKIT

We don’t expect you to be an expert at fundraising. Your passion and dedication to raising awareness of CRC in your community and the fact that you are not asking for yourself, but for the thousands of families across the country who are battling CRC will help you reach your fundraising goal. It can seem overwhelming at first, but remember our mission is critical and we are here to help!

Click here to download our Fundraising Toolkit.

VOLUNTEER

The 15th Annual Colon Cancer Challenge would not be possible without the help of our wonderful volunteers. We have opportunities for all ages and groups.

We need more than 110 volunteers to ensure a safe and fun day for all at the Colon Cancer Challenge. We have opportunities for everyone, including groups: distribute T-Shirts, pass out refreshments for walkers/runners, accept donations and so much more.

Please feel free to call the Colon Cancer Challenge Foundation at 914.305.6674 or email at info@coloncancerchallenge.org with any questions or concerns.

EXHIBITOR OPPORTUNITIES

You are cordially invited to join us for this year’s Colon Cancer Challenge Wellness Festival, a unique component of the 2018-Colon Cancer Challenge.

What is the Colon Cancer Challenge?

2018 marks the 15th year of our signature event – the Colon Cancer Challenge. Teams of families, friends, co-workers, local and national corporations will come together to raise awareness of colorectal cancer, support those battling the disease and raise funds for the Colon Cancer Challenge Foundation’s strategic initiatives of Public Awareness, Prevention, and Research.

The Colon Cancer Challenge offers survivors, family and friends of those affected by colorectal cancer a unique opportunity to raise public awareness and contribute to the fight against this preventable, yet often fatal disease. Participants can choose to participate in a 1.7 Mile Remembrance & Prevention Walk, a 5K run or the Kid’s Fun Run.

What is the Wellness Festival?

The Wellness Festival includes informational booths, demonstrations, and interactive activities for our participants. This festival is an excellent opportunity for area non-profit organizations and health service organizations to connect with the community and showcase programs and services aimed at the prevention and treatment options for those affected by colorectal cancer including exercise, nutrition and healthy lifestyles.

We would be delighted to have your organization participate as an exhibitor in this year’s festival.

We encourage exhibitors to have an interactive presentation of their services – we have plenty of space for an activity or demonstration if interested.  We encourage exhibitors to think creatively about how to engage festival attendees and offer tips and ideas about healthy living. If you are interested in participating but not sure what you’d like to do, please contact us at 914.305.6674 to discuss your ideas.

How do I get involved?

If you would like to participate as an exhibitor, please complete the attached registration form for the appropriate venue. We also offer Sponsorship Opportunities. Once you are registered as an exhibitor, we will send a confirmation letter to the person you have designated as a contact. Also, please review the following pages for more details about the event and set up, and please share it with those responsible for your exhibitor booth at the Festival.

SPONSORS & PARTNERS

The sponsors of the Colon Cancer Challenge make it possible for us to build public awareness of colorectal cancer (CRC) including hereditary colorectal cancer and the importance of timely screening and prevention.  Their support also allows us to help sponsor prevention programs in New York City including screening efforts for the uninsured and innovative translational research projects focused on early age onset of colorectal cancer.

As a sponsor of the 2018 Colon Cancer Challenge you have the opportunity to reach thousands who join us each year to raise awareness of this deadly and yet preventable disease.  The Challenge Wellness Festival focuses in on preventive measures our community can take including exercise and nutrition.

If you are interested in joining our community of Sponsors, please look at our Corporate Sponsor Opportunities or contact us at 914.305.6675.

You may claim your bag after the race; be prepared to show your race number, which must match your baggage-tag number. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to assist you, but please keep in mind that thousands of bags are checked at our events; we recommend that you use an inexpensive bag and not check valuables. CCCF is not responsible for lost or stolen items. We also recommend that you check the event map for the location of the baggage-check area and allow enough time to get to the start after checking your bag.

The Lost and Found is located in the Wellness Festival located on the Concourse Level.  If you’ve lost an item, please check there; if you find a lost item, please bring it there. Unclaimed items will be brought to CCCF (10 New King Street, Suite 202, White Plains, NY); please call 914.305.6674, or e-mail info@coloncancerchallenge.org

Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, even if you are unable to participate on the day of the Challenge.

Each year the Colon Cancer Challenge sells out within just a few weeks.  The 5k sells out more quickly than the Remembrance & Prevention Walk.  The deadline for online registration for the 5K, Remembrance & Prevention Walk or Kid’s Fun Run is one week prior to the event or September 24. Onsite registration will open at 8:30 AM on event day and is subect to a premium.

Registration fees vary according to whether you participate in the Remembrance & Prevention Walk, 5K or Kid’s Fun Run.  For complete pricing visit our Registration Page.

We do not require a fundraising minimum to participate in the Colon Cancer Challenge.  Pease know that while your registration fee gets you to the start line on the day of The Challenge, it is your fundraising dollars that will help us fund lifesaving prevention and screening programs and research.  If each participant raises just $150.00 we will very quickly reach our goal of raising $1,000,000 in 2017.

Yes! Survivors remind us all that participating in this event is a part of a bigger race to find the cures for colorectal cancer. Survivors are recognized in a number of ways:

  • Survivors receive a complimentary blue star necklace and blue Survivor hat on the day of The Challenge.
  • Survivors are welcomed to a special V.I.P. Tent on Race Day where they can enjoy light refreshments and receive a special survivor goody bag.
  • Survivors are welcomed to participate in a collective Survivor “Victory Photo” on the main stage during our opening ceremony and participate in the Survivors and Caregivers Victory Lap.
