Want to Make a Difference?
Do you share our passion for colon and colorectal cancer prevention and treatment? If you answered "yes," there are many ways you can make a genuine contribution to the cause and potentially change the lives of those affected by the disease. Every little bit helps and no effort is too small! You can make a difference!
Offer Support and Love
The easiest way to make a difference is to offer your support and love to those affected by the disease. The afflicted patients and their friends and family need all the love and support they can get. If you or someone you know has been diagnosed with colon cancer, call upon the community to help. Housecleaning, meal preparation, transportation, child and pet care, just to name a few, are simple ways to make a genuine difference in the lives of cancer victims and those around them.
Spread the Word on Prevention, Screening, and Treatment
Get out there and spread the word about colon cancer prevention, screening, and treatment. This may be achieved by joining forces with a foundation, such as Susie’s Cause, posting flyers around your community and neighborhood, speaking at schools and high trafficked public forums, and organizing awareness events. For more information about getting involved, see the Volunteer and Plan an Event sections of the Get Involved tab.
Donate Time and Money
Making financial contributions to charities like Susie’s Cause and other organizations aimed at changing the future of colon cancer is a great way to make a difference. Every dollar or other unit of currency helps! For more information about donating to Susie’s Cause, please see the Donate tab.
Short on cash? You can still make a difference by donating your time. Volunteer work is fulfilling, promotes good, and improves the human quality of life. Just as every donated dollar makes a difference, every minute of volunteer work makes a difference.
For more information on ways to make a difference, research the programs and opportunities in your area. If you have made a difference for this worthy cause, please share your story with us.
